The Binghamton University Events Center is a nice place for a basketball game. The stadium has excellent sightlines to the court. Capacity for a basketball crowd here is 5,142, but rarely do that many people show up. Most seats are plastic chairbacks and are fairly comfortable. The stadium has large a large and wide concourse so walking around it is pretty easy. The stadium has lots of concession stands with reasonable prices for stadiums. The typical sports stadium foods like hotdogs, popcorn, and soda are available. But they also sell wings and pizza which are very good. Lines for the concession stands were short and service was fast. There is also a nice beer garden for those who want a drink. In the front of the stadium is a team merchandise store. The videoboard in the that hangs over the middle of the court is gigantic and the videos and graphics are easily visible from any seat. There is a lot of team spirt here, a solid college band, and large numbers of cheerleaders. Overall, the Events Center delivers an excellent experience.

As I am getting much older, the steps are very difficult to navigate. My granddaughter was graduating from BOCES, and things were hard to see. Sometimes they put the graduates on the screen, and they didn't, making it seem so far away.

Excellent arrangements. School band was cool. Parking can be an issue for commencement or graduation day. So start early to reach in time. Event day traffic was fully managed by Binghamton Police and University volunteers. Keep event tickets ready at entry point.
